Benefits
Ghost Train Haze, a Sativa-dominant powerhouse, rose through the ranks to become a legendary strain in its own right. This splendid fusion of Ghost OG and Nevil’s Wreck has astonishing THC levels, peaking around 28%. It delivers a hauntingly fresh, citrusy experience and a heavy cerebral, invigorating punch that will give you hours of endless energy.
Onset
This strain’s action is so powerful that beginners should probably steer away. Even seasoned cannabis enthusiasts should take it easy, as Ghost Train Haze will catapult them into euphoria within just minutes. Expect giggles and plenty of laughter at the smallest things. Soon after, a refreshing surge of energy will run through your body like a current, making your focus laser-sharp and charging you with motivation even for the most mundane things, like a deep cleaning session. It is also an ideal companion for artists, writers, and those tackling their long to-do lists.
Remember to monitor your consumption carefully to take advantage of these energising effects. In large doses, this flower turns almost psychedelic, clouding your mind in a hazy, stoney feeling, leaving you unable to focus on much else than the heavy trip.
As with other Haze strains, once these powerful effects wear off, you can expect a little slump, so if a morning session is on the cards, make time for a small nap after a few hours.

Uses
Ghost Train Haze is a medicinal marvel that has the potential to aid a wide variety of different conditions. Thanks to a high concentration of the uplifting, invigorating terpenes: terpinolene and limonene, it can relieve symptoms of mood disorders, as well as PTSD and ADHD, and give energy to users with chronic fatigue.
With around 2% anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving CBG, the strain may also act as a successful remedy against chronic pain, migraines and muscle cramps, but also glaucoma, arthritis and Crohn’s disease.
The key to getting the desired effects lies in the dosage: for its physical benefits, opt for a higher quantity, while for the mental effects, a smaller dose will be optimal.
Side effects
As a very potent sativa, the strain may cause some unpleasant side effects. Its intense cerebral high can contribute to a racing mind, which may lead to feelings of paranoia and anxiety, as well as dizziness. Cautious use is vital. Go low and slow, starting with a single puff, and only increase the dose if necessary.
Taste & Smell
Ghost Train Haze presents itself in dense, heavy buds of bright, forest green colour. As can be expected of a strain with such potency, it is coated in a trichome coating so thick that it will remind you of freshly fallen snow.
The bud’s rich aroma is incredibly potent – and you will not be able to hide it easily. It is sweet yet invigorating – an inviting blend of a floral bouquet and citrus, complemented by hints of pine and spice.
These notes are well-reflected in the creamy, velvety smoke it produces. The initial zing of citrus merges seamlessly with pine and spice, turning into an earthy, floral base on the exhale for a rounded flavour.
Origins
The flower comes from the labs of Rare Dankness as a cross between the aromatic Ghost OG and the mighty Nevil’s Wreck. With its chilling name and haunting potency, this strain has been highly appreciated by the community. It scored several awards, including the High Times Strongest Strains on Earth title, the 2014 High Times Cannabis Cup in the US Sativa category and the 2nd place in the 2013 High Times Cannabis Cup Medical Sativa category.
Growing conditions
Ghost Train Haze thrives best outdoors in a hot and dry climate, which makes it a good choice for Thai growers. It will need good ventilation and careful humidity monitoring if grown indoors, as it can be prone to mould and mildew. A little patience will pay off with this strain – its flowering time can take up to 11 weeks. You can expect moderate yields of around 300 grams per square metre indoors and 400 grams per plant outdoors, which can be increased in a hydroponic growth environment.
