Benefits

Banana Hammock is an indica-dominant hybrid birthed from the union of Grape God and Mandarin Sunset. It provides comforting, tranquil effects and is packed with delicious tropical flavours. With a THC content of 12 to 27%, Banana Hammock is like a box of chocolates – you never quite know what you will get.

Onset

The effects of Banana Hammock come about quickly, starting with a euphoric cerebral uplift, making you happy and creative. This is soon joined by a feeling of relaxation spreading down your body with a pleasant, tingling sensation. While you will have an abundance of fresh, exciting thoughts, acting on them will be hard – as the relaxation wraps you up completely, not leaving energy or space for anything else. Banana Hammock completely soothes your mind, body and soul, putting you on a happy cloud far away from everyday stresses and worries.

It is a perfect companion for an evening of meditation, tranquillity or quiet introspection. Lovebirds will also appreciate its action – the strain tends to leave its users physically aroused, enhancing any romantic evening.

Uses

The therapeutic combination of terpenes in Banana Hammock can be utilised in a variety of conditions.

Firstly, the strain can be a soothing balm for those battling mood disorders. The uplifting limonene and calming myrcene work together to temporarily relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression, allowing the mind to break free from the clutches of stress and negativity.

Moreover, its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, supported by caryophyllene, can provide relief from physical discomforts such as chronic pain, inflammation, muscle spasms and migraines. It is also a good strain of choice for dealing with nausea – Banana Hammock will likely stimulate the appetite and make food more digestible.

Side effects

Banana Hammock has vastly varying THC content, so you can never be sure what you will get. Therefore, it can be easy to overconsume. Then, the strain may give you headaches and contribute to feelings of paranoia and anxiety, especially if you are prone to mental health conditions. You can also expect the common sensations of dry eyes and cottonmouth. To minimise the risk of these adverse effects occurring, practise responsible consumption.

Keep this strain to weekends and evenings when you have little to do. Otherwise, it may make you sluggish.

Taste & Smell

Fruity
Earthy
Sweet

Banana Hammock is a sensory spectacle, starting with the sheer beauty of its buds. These large, pepper-shaped nuggets are intertwined with vivid orange pistils and covered in a thick coating of trichomes, with many phenotypes exhibiting striking hues of purple. The strain’s aroma is an alluring mix of sweet tropical fruitiness, rich honey notes and subtle earthy undertones, transporting your mind to a sunny day at the beach. Interestingly, you will not taste many banana notes despite a strong fruity taste. Instead, you can expect a rich blend of ripe grapes, berries and invigorating fresh citrus, with a bit of a honey drizzle and a dash of vanilla – a flavour hard to resist.

Indica

Origins

When a strain is developed by the master breeders at Ethos Genetics, you know you are in for a good time. Yet again, they brought about some happiness and delightful memories of a day at the beach with the creation of Banana Hammock. This summery hybrid came about from the cross of two fruity strains, Grape God and Mandarin Sunset, inheriting their tropical paradise vibes.

Growing conditions

Banana Hammock will thrive best under the careful, attentive eye of an experienced grower. The plant is susceptible to mould and fungus, so the heat and humidity levels must be constantly monitored. It needs a lot of space to develop its long, thick branches fully. Topping the plant midway through the growing season will ensure the best yields.

Expect the buds to pop up around 8 to 9 weeks after vegetative phase. Under ideal conditions, the harvest is abundant – between 600 to 800 grams per square metre indoors and around 600 grams per plant outdoors.
