Benefits

Blackberry is a fragrant hybrid cannabis strain, boasting an average high THC level of 23%. Having two esteemed parents of a prominent sativa and indica strain showcases the best of both worlds. It fills you with increased energy while simultaneously providing deep physical relaxation. In addition, the strain’s stunning aroma rounds off the entire experience beautifully.

Onset

Typical of other hybrid strains, the sativa in Blackberry manifests itself first, with a gentle cerebral uplift that helps clear the mind, inviting a sense of creativity and focus. These can be utilised by not only the artists among us but anyone who needs a bit of inspiration to kickstart their work. The strain also induces a lot of giggles and laughter, which will be perfect for social gatherings.

This euphoric feeling will last the entirety of the high, even as the indica presence starts to make itself noticeable. A powerful sense of relaxation washes over your entire body, calming even the most active people. While you will become deeply relaxed, you will still feel strong positive vibrations. A Blackberry trip feels blissful- a quintessential feel-good high that leaves you peaceful, productive and inspired.

Using Blackberry in the evening can also facilitate a night of deep sleep.

Uses

Blackberry gives a gentle high that is not overpowering and appeals to many medicinal users. It can help battle physical aches – muscle pains, back pains and headaches, among many others. The anti-inflammatory properties, bolstered by caryophyllene, relieve joint pains and arthritis. The uplifting and energising benefits of the strain, facilitated by limonene, assist in reducing depression and anxiety by providing the necessary energy to tackle the day.

Side effects

Blackberry is a gentle strain that does not induce any severe adverse reactions. Cottonmouth, dry eyes and mild dizziness are the ones most often reported. Still, newbies should approach the strain cautiously, as high THC flowers can induce paranoia and anxiety in sensitive users.

Blackberry buds are a stunning sight. They showcase deep purple and green hues, covered with a generous frosting of glistening trichomes.

Its aroma is even more enticing. Blackberry masterfully blends the sweetness of ripe berries with a hint of earthy woodiness, creating a scent that is both fruity and grounding. As you savour its taste, you’ll be treated to a delightful combination of ripe berries with noticeable citrus diesel notes. A mix of floral and lingering sweet hashy flavours follows these. Overall, the exceptional fragrance and taste profile make Blackberry a true delight for consumers.

If you enjoy this fruity flavour, try other tasty strains such as Strawberry Banana or Lemon Haze.

Indica

Origins

We have Nirvana Seeds to thank for creating delicious Blackberry, who decided to cross their sativa Raspberry Cough with an indica dominant Black Domina. Crossing these two potent strains brought about a delightful, evenly-balanced hybrid that tastes and acts fantastic. Blackberry boasts a lineage that harmoniously merges the best traits of its parent strains.

Growing conditions

Indoor cultivation is the preferred choice for Blackberry, as it tends to yield the highest in well-controlled conditions. Overall, growing the strain is relatively easy if you provide it with a warm, dry environment. In addition, being resistant to common moulds and mildew, the plant is fairly low maintenance.

However, keep in mind that the pungent smell will linger in the air – proper ventilation methods are crucial.

The flowering time is relatively short, around 8-9 weeks. You can expect decent yields of up to 500 grams per square metre indoors and up to 400 grams per plant outdoors.
