Uses
French Cookies is excellent at facilitating focus – something that people with attention deficit disorders may highly appreciate. Thanks to a high content of uplifting and energising limonene, it can also be a remedy for patients struggling with chronic fatigue and depression, providing the necessary boost of vigour. It is also a relaxing strain, and as such, it can effectively ease debilitating symptoms of stress.
Lastly, French Cookies are famous for inducing appetite, which can benefit patients with eating disorders or those struggling with nausea due to chemotherapy.
Side effects
Side effects associated with French Cookies are generally mild, mainly limited to eye and mouth dehydration. In addition, the strain is known to induce intense munchies – but depending on your use purpose, it may be a welcome event rather than a side effect.
Remember that high THC flowers may contribute to paranoia and anxiety – especially if you are prone to mental health conditions or have a low THC tolerance. Responsible consumption is vital to enjoying French Cookies, so start with a single puff and then slowly increase your dose if necessary.
Taste & Smell
French Cookies are a sensory delight, starting with their beautiful, unique, dense flowers. They exhibit a wide range of colours, spanning from yellow to dark green, deep purple, and nearly black hues. The latter is a result of their exceptionally high resin content, which also contributes to the sticky nature of the buds.
Take a whiff, and you’ll be greeted by an array of sweet, creamy, earthy, and slightly spicy aromas with a hint of nut. The taste doesn’t fall far from the olfactory experience, either. Imagine biting into a warm, nutty biscuit, a sweetness that is just right, not overpowering, perfectly balanced with earthy and fruity grape notes, finished with a hint of spice.
Origins
The saga of French Cookies starts with a seed found in a bag of Platinum Cookies bought in California. TH Seeds, a renowned Dutch breeder recognised for their successful creations like MK Ultra and Bubblegum, ventured to Europe with the seed in their possession. Within their laboratories, they cultivated this seed, obtaining a hybrid that is both unique and familiar at the same time, bringing all the Cookies family goodness to mind.
Growing conditions
With proper care and maintenance, cultivating French Cookies should be a doable feat for both novice and experienced growers alike. In order to thrive, it requires plenty of light, warmth and moderate humidity, which can be successfully achieved outdoors during the winter season in Thailand.
The plants tend to grow short and bushy, so you must trim them regularly to avoid some pests and mould problems; otherwise, growing them is straightforward.
French Cookies take around 9 to 10 weeks to flower, rewarding growers with 400-450 grams per square metre yields and about 450 grams per plant.
