Benefits

MAC, or Miracle Alien Cookies, is an evenly balanced hybrid with a distinctive scent and taste. Its rich lineage traces back to GSC and Chemdawg. With a high THC content routinely in the mid-20s, the strain provides a powerful sense of euphoria, bliss and happiness.

Onset

MAC 1 doesn’t waste a single moment when it comes to announcing its presence. The potent euphoric onset is as quick as it is lasting, thanks to the strain’s high THC concentration. It sweeps you off your feet with a cerebral high, delivering happy energy and an elevated sense of awareness.

While it is intensely stimulating, the relaxing indica effects create harmony, a soothing balance of energy and profound bliss. Taken responsibly, this strain can provide unparallel sensations, making you very focussed on anything you do and amplifying the enjoyment of these activities.

Think of cleaning the house, working on a big project, chilling with your favourite book or meeting your friends – this versatile hybrid will suit any activity. Being a long-lasting high, you will savour its effects for a few hours. Towards the end of your trip, you will also get the munchies, so make sure to prepare enough food beforehand.

For a similarly energising yet more cerebrally stimulating high, try Lemon Haze.

Uses

MAC 1 is a potent pain reliever, thanks to a high amount of anti-inflammatory pinene and caryophyllene terpenes. Therefore, it can support those dealing with pain in various conditions, such as chronic pains, migraines, muscle spasms, and menstrual cramps. Due to its relaxing and uplifting properties, it may also be beneficial to relieve stress, anxiety and symptoms of depression temporarily. Assisted by invigorating limonene, the strain’s energising properties may be highly appreciated by patients dealing with fatigue.

Side effects

MAC 1 packs a potent punch, and its adverse reactions can be intense, especially if you overconsume. Dizziness, anxiety and paranoia have all been reported. To minimise the risk of these side effects, practise responsible use, starting with a single puff.

Taste & Smell

Diesel
Citrus
Spicy

MAC 1 is a feast for the senses. The dense and robust buds often spot purple hues on top of their vibrant green leaves, and the frosty trichome blanket is a testament to the strain’s potency.

Its pungent aroma reeks of diesel mixed with some citrus and spice, and it tends to linger wherever you take it, so keeping your consumption discrete may be challenging.

The flavour of MAC 1 is one of the most unusual mixes you will encounter – bringing notes of orange, lemon, cheese, diesel and peppery spice, all at the same time. It is rounded off by an earthy exhale with a sweet finish.

Indica

Origins

The tale of MAC 1 begins in California, where a skilled breeder Capulator decided to cross Alien Cookies #2 (a child of GSC and Aliendawg) and Miracle #15 to obtain Miracle Alien Cookies, known as MAC 1 today. Some sources also speculate that the strain is a mix of Alien Cookies, a Colombian landrace and the Starfighter, so there might be minor differences depending on what phenotype you find.

Growing conditions

Growing MAC 1 is a rather challenging process. First of all, finding the original seeds is not easy. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on these or a clipping to clone, prepare to put a lot of time and effort into cultivating your flower. They need plenty of warmth, sunlight and space – they can shoot up to even 2.5 metres high. Frequent nutrient supplementation is also necessary to help the plant thrive. If your growing efforts are successful, you can expect the plant to bloom after around 10 weeks, with modest yields between 170-220 grams per square metre indoors and about 250 grams per plant outdoors.
