Benefits

Candyland (also known as “Kandyland”) is a sativa-dominant hybrid with THC levels ranging from 16% to 24%. The strain has captured the hearts of many with its enchanting combination of sweet flavours and a delightful invigorating high that is simultaneously relaxing. This delicious variety can also boast an impressive lineage – with renowned Granddaddy Purple and Bay Platinum Cookies parents.

Onset

The onset of Candyland’s effects is swift, starting with a euphoric wave that washes over you, lifting your spirits and clearing your head. It feels like the mind has been dusted off of worry and stress with a rush of revitalising energy. These effects can be perfect for those seeking creative inspiration or a burst of motivation for tackling tasks. As the experience unfolds, the indica effects become more noticeable, making your body feel profoundly relaxed. However, you will not need to worry about lethargy or a couchlock – you will remain just as alert as before but with no tension weighing heavy on your mind or body.

As such, Candyland can be a great wake-and-bake choice for those needing a little push of motivation in the morning. It is also a fabulous social strain – providing that blissful uplift that will make any event more enjoyable.

Uses

Candyland’s composition makes it a valuable remedy for several conditions. First, it is an excellent stress remedy and thus can soothe symptoms of mood disorders, anxiety etc. Thanks to a high content of anti-inflammatory terpenes caryophyllene and humulene, the strain is effective against many pains, such as migraines, joint aches or menstrual cramps. Lastly, with the help of uplifting and invigorating limonene, the strain can be utilised in combating chronic fatigue or the tiredness associated with some mental health problems.

Side effects

While Candyland is generally well-tolerated, some users may experience common side effects such as dry mouth, dry eyes, and mild dehydration. In addition, consuming excessive amounts of this strain could also potentially induce feelings of paranoia or anxiety, so it’s essential to start with a low dose and gradually increase it as needed.

Taste & Smell

Candy
Earthy
Piney

With a name like Candyland, no wonder the strain’s aromatic profile is so pleasant and joyful.

Its scent is a fusion of pine, berries and sweet candy that tantalises the senses. The taste echoes this aroma – with earthy, berry and piney notes intertwined with a sugary sweetness that will remind you of a tray of freshly baked cookies. This delightful flavour tends to linger on the lips, making for a marvellous sensory experience. The buds are usually dark green and dense, but they can sometimes display beautiful purple hues.

Sativa

Origins

Candyland boasts fascinating origins. The strain was first cultivated by Ken Estes’ San Francisco Bay Area collective. The esteemed breeder used one of his strains, Granddaddy Purple, and mixed it with Bay Platinum Cookies, which originates in GSC. This fusion resulted in a fun and pleasurable Candyland that quickly got appreciated in the cannabis scene, having Scored awards at the 2012 KushCon and 2018 ERRL Cup in Arizona.

Growing conditions

Growing Candyland can be a breeze. This strain exhibits resilience against most common moulds and diseases, making it relatively low-maintenance. The plant can tolerate both indoor and outdoor growing environments. However, it prefers a warm, dry climate in an outdoor setting. As it grows tall, it also needs that extra space to expand. You should support the branches a little to make sure they can carry the weight of the heavy, dense buds.

Candyland has a flowering time of 8-9 weeks, yielding around 400 grams per square metre indoors and a magnificent 1000 grams per outdoor plant.
