Benefits

Lemon Kush is a celebrated hybrid cannabis strain with a refreshing lemony aroma and taste. It offers a moderate THC content ranging between 17% and 26%, with a low CBD and CBG level of around 1%. This versatile flower with a somewhat mysterious heritage is appreciated across many settings, whether you need inspiration at work or want to have fun with friends.

Onset

Lemon Kush is as refreshing as a glass of lemonade on a hot summer day. It is a unique hybrid that leaves you relaxed yet very energised at the same time.

It kicks in gently, revealing its nature in about 5 to 10 minutes. Initially, a wave of euphoria washes over you, bestowing a sense of clarity, focus and uplifted spirits.  As it boosts the formation of thoughts and cognitive performance, it will be perfect for artists, writers and musicians, unleashing some newly found creativity you didn’t even imagine possible.

Lemon Kush is often described as an ultimate feel-good strain and brings the best of humour, giggles and joy. It also makes you very chatty and social. It will be best enjoyed with friends, providing an atmosphere of shared laughter, relaxation, and inspiring, thought-provoking conversations.

The indica effects will give you a mild body buzz, keeping you relaxed and lightweight. It is a gentle and pleasant sensation that does not induce a couchlock. Therefore, you can enjoy Lemon Kush anytime after midday and be reasonably sure you will not crash hard after 2-3 hours when its effects start wearing off.

Taste & Smell

Herbal

Despite being an evenly split hybrid with mostly sativa effects, the presentation of the flower is typical of indica strains. Lemon Kush has small, dense, tightly packed nuggets that look like popcorn. Its yellow-green flowers are thickly covered in resinous trichomes.

The first notes that will hit your nose are those of fresh lemon, reminding you of a bag of sweet candy. Then, as you break the buds apart, the typical Kush scent reveals itself with its strong herbal, earthy and soothing aroma.

The lemon notes take centre stage in the flavour profile again, intermingling with subtle hints of earth and spice, leaving a refreshing aftertaste. However, be prepared for harsh smoke – enjoying this bud without coughing may take a while.

Sativa

Origins

Lemon Kush is sometimes used to describe a few similar, though slightly different strains. As such, its origins remain disputed. Three versions have been most prevalent in the market: Lemon G crossed with Master Kush, Master Kush with Lemon Joy and the one from prolific Alien Breeders, who used Afghan Kush and Lemon G. Due to these disparities, the effects can be slightly diverse depending on the batch but should remain largely the same.

Growing conditions

Lemon Kush is relatively easy to grow, which makes it suitable for novice cultivators. This strain can be grown indoors and outdoors and will thrive in dry environments with plenty of sunlight. It can do well in the Thai climate if it’s sheltered from excessive rain and humidity.

The plants grow bushy and reach a medium height, making them manageable even in limited spaces. They usually flower within 9-10 weeks and offer impressive yields, with up to 500 grams per square meter indoors and a staggering 1000 grams per plant outdoors.
